
Odo Shakiso, Ethiopia – MIDROC Gold Mine PLC has been officially recognized by the Odo Shakiso Woreda Mining and Energy Office for its significant contribution to the successful completion of the Woreda Mining and Energy Office building.
The construction project was initially launched through the joint initiative of the government and local small-scale mining associations. From the outset, MIDROC Gold Mine supported the project by supplying construction materials. However, due to budget constraints, the construction was suspended before completion.
Demonstrating its continued commitment to community development and institutional capacity building, MIDROC Gold Mine provided the additional construction materials and technical support required to complete the remaining works. The company’s intervention enabled the project to be successfully finalized and officially inaugurated.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Utuke Jara, Administrator of Odo Shakiso Woreda, senior government officials, representatives of the mining sector, community leaders, and invited guests.
In recognition of the company’s outstanding contribution, the Odo Shakiso Woreda Mining and Energy Office presented MIDROC Gold Mine PLC with a Certificate of Acknowledgement for its vital role in ensuring the successful completion of the project.
The certificate was received on behalf of the company by Mr. Borifan Bayisa, Head of Public Relations and Community Affairs Division, MIDROC Gold Mine PLC.
